形態特徵

Erect perennial herbs to 15–50 cm tall; stolons creeping. Stems terete or somewhat angled, covered with minute glandular hairs.
Leaves alternate, oblong-ovate to elliptic, 3–13 cm long, 1–4 cm wide, apex acuminate, base cuneate, upper surface dark brown, lower surface pale, margins entire, petiole 5–15 mm long, usually restricted to upper part of plant.
Flowers yellow, axillary, solitary; pedicel 3–5 cm long; bracts linear-lanceolate, 2–4 mm long; calyx deeply cleft, 5-lobed, lobes ovate, acuminate, minutely glandular-ciliolate within; corolla deeply parted, lobes ovate or lanceolate, 7–15 mm long, 3–5 mm wide, apex acute; stamens 5, shorter than petals; anthers 3–5 mm long, opening by pores; ovary glabrous, style 4–6 mm long.
Capsules globose, white, 4–6 mm in diam., longitudinally dehiscent; style persistent; seeds black.
